Paris Kalor, the founder of Saddleback Law Center, received the Community Service Scholarship from Western State University College of Law. She was also an Honor Student while working full time at the Orange County Superior Court in different capacities and attending law school in the evenings. Ms. Kalor earned her Juris Doctor Degree in 2001, and passed the bar exam in her first attempt.
In November 2001, Honorable Ronald P. Kreber, the Supervising Judge of Orange County Superior Court, swore in Ms. Kalor. Honorable Kreber paused the arraignment proceedings to administer the oath in the presence of prosecutors, criminal defense attorneys, criminal defendants, and the general public in attendance. Ms. Kalor was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2001, and then to the United States Federal Court in 2003.
Since establishment of her own practice in 2002, Ms. Kalor has performed hundreds of hours of voluntary work for victims of domestic violence.
